Lucie Páchová

At the core of her practice lies an interest in exploring the phenomenon of listening and its many layers. Lucie sees listening as a primal source of connection, relation, support, and care.

She works with field recordings, voice, found objects, a prepared zither, simple electronics, and movement to seek a dialogue with the environments, spaces, people, organisms, and objects around me.

Travel, motion, spaces, encounters, and soundscapes often provide important impulses that make their way into the music I create with various individuals, collectives, and ensembles.

Sharing this process through workshops, sessions, and teaching is central to Lucie’s work. »I believe that collective exploration of listening and improvisation fosters greater sensitivity and understanding, both in music and in life«.
